Pakistan joint parliamentary session

A joint session of Pakistan’s parliament will be held today, with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) confirming its participation.

The session is expected to focus on key legislative matters following the resolution of differences between the ruling PML-N and PPP.

Earlier, the two parties disagreed on several proposed bills. Consultations involving Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, Naveed Qamar, and Aijaz Jakhrani helped settle the issues.

As a result, both sides reached an understanding ahead of the joint sitting, ensuring smoother discussions on the legislative agenda.

PPP members held internal consultations at Parliament House in the chamber of Sherry Rehman. They raised concerns about bills, including those on Danish Schools.

Meanwhile, members of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) are expected to meet Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah. They will discuss the proposed legislation before the session.

The joint session marks an important step toward legislative cooperation, with parliament aiming to move forward on key bills and policy matters efficiently.
